A teenager died and 69 people were injured in a 5.8-degree magnitude earthquake in the coastal locality of Marmaris, at Tuesday, the interior minister, Ali Yerlikaya. “A 14-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after a panic crisis, but unfortunately she died despite all efforts to save her,” Yerlikaya said. The minor was identified as Afranur Gunlu and died in Fethiye, almost 100 km east of Marmaris, according to the minister. Another 69 people died in the province of Mugla, where is the marble resort, Yerlikaya added. The earthquake was felt at 2:17 am (8:17 pm Brasilia, Monday) about 10 km from the coast of Marmaris, said the Afad disaster management agency.
