Founded from the resignification of industrial warehouses in Vila Leopoldina, in São Paulo, the Arca became a relevant event space in the state capital. Alongside producer MS Live, the group commands large productions and has received big international names from electronic music such as Eric Prydz and his iconic holographic show, the afterlife party and Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren.
Ahead of the business, CEO Carolina Ramos tells a little about the group’s financial strategy – which includes making the cashier more efficient with the help of XP Empresa solutions.
“We started using XP to work on our money and especially to use resources that ended up standing,” says Carolina. The two companies in the group – Arca and MS Live – keep accounts on XP Enterprises and use advisory to apply resources that were once in traditional banks, with low return. “We were losing money on it,” he says.

The producer dynamics requires highly strategic cash management. Tickets sold in advance generate capital entry before payment of suppliers and artists, creating a financial window that can be well used.
“These are considerable values that, instead of leaving, we let us work for us,” explains the CEO. Applications are made at different deadlines – short, medium and long – to ensure liquidity and profitability.
Risk management
Another front where XP Empresas plays an important role in business risk management. “When I agree to close an international customer, I can’t go back. The whole risk of producing this event is ours, even before opening sale,” says Carolina.

To deal with this uncertainty, it maintains reservations in applications that can be rescued according to the production calendar, balancing predictability and profitability.
Contact with XP Enterprises began at the end of 2022, when the operation of the two companies was already resumed after the pandemic. “We started thinking about financial planning. How do we operate and how they can work the money better,” he explains. Since then, XP Companies has become the main partner for the group’s financial investments.
Despite the strong association with electronic music, Arca is also the scene of corporate and cultural events, with a very diverse customer wallet. The house has already hosted fairs such as SP Arte – the largest in Latin America – and has among its customers names like Google, Yahoo and Nubank.

With XP Enterprises, Caixa also became a strategic asset for group growth. “I don’t come from the financial market, so the help of advisors is essential. XP Empresas brought agility and an efficiency that we couldn’t find in traditional banks,” says Carolina.
Entrepreneur Support
According to Vivian Sesto, the great differential of XP Enterprises is the ability to offer active and personalized cash management, that is, aligned with the need for each sector and predictability of use of each company, going beyond the simple application for resource allocation.
“Our goal is to understand each company, connect it with the best allocation strategies, to seek profitability of these resources and an even more efficient cash, which is the result of good business management,” he says.

This translates into an active advisory support, in which advisers help entrepreneurs – especially small and medium – to understand the exposed financial risks and use appropriate financial instruments for cash protection and profitability.
Vivian points out that one of the great differentials of XP companies is to offer much more than investments. “Our goal is to help the company reduce the dependence on debt taking, because the ideal is that the need to resort to loans will only happen in situations of financial tightening or lack of proper planning,” he explains.
This model is especially useful in business like Ark, which need to manage financial entrances and exits with different and often unpredictable deadlines.

A fundamental concept that XP Empresas talks to its customers is the “opportunity cost”, which represents how much a company can stop making by making inappropriate financial decisions.
According to Vivian, this concept is still little explored by small and medium enterprises.
“Many maintain funds stopped in automatic applications or savings, while facing various challenges to achieve modest growth, which often does not exceed 5% per year. However, with a more efficient cash allocation, this same capital could yield about 15% per year, considering the current Selic rate, which is the main reference of the Brazilian economy and serves as the basis for several financial applications. Being stopping, directly impacting the potential for business growth, ”he explains.
This approach explains the ark’s decision to diversify its investments, avoiding leaving idle resources between events.
