New massacre under Israeli fire. At least against groups of people who tried to get something of the tiny food that is distributed in the distribution centers in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli vice minister of exteriors, Sharren Haskel, acknowledged on Tuesday that Israeli troops have opened fire against Gazati who were waiting to collect food in the new cast centers, although he insisted that the troops fired “far away and because they felt threatened.”
“It seems that some Gazatis have taken a different route that, in fact, endangered some of our soldiers. And when they felt threatened, they shot away the distribution center against them,” he explained in a press conference for international media held at the exterior headquarters in Jerusalem.
At least 27 people have died and more than one hundred have been injured this morning when they were waiting near the center of Tel al Sultan in the Southern City of Rafah, the only one that has been operational since last Friday, confirmed the International Committee of the Red Cross.
More than a hundred dead since May 27
The Israeli army recognized on Tuesday in a statement that shot about half a kilometer from the distribution point “against several suspects that advanced towards the troops so that they represented a threat,” but did not provide evidence.
“This morning’s incident is being investigated right now,” said Haskel, although he wanted to make it clear that it is Hamas who “tries to prevent civilians” to reach these new complexes.
Since last Tuesday, May 27, when three new cast points began to operate in the Palestinian enclave managed by the Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza (GHF), supported by the United States, at least 102 people have died due to troops of the troops while waiting near them to collect food, Hamas denounced today.
