The Israeli army admits that it triggered food cast after identifying “several suspects”
The Israeli army has just published a statement on the incident that occurred on Tuesday in a food cast in Rafah, in southern Gaza, in which at least 24 people have died and there are dozens of injured, according to the Ministry of Health of the Strip, controlled by Hamas. The military ensures that they identified “several suspects” that had been diverted from the designated routes to access the help point and that they were heading towards them. “The troops made warning shots and, after the suspects did not withdraw, additional shots were made against some of them that advanced towards the military.” The army, however, says they have no knowledge that there have been casualties and ensures that the incident is being investigated.
Israeli troops claim that they “do not prevent” the arrival of civilians to the places of distribution of humanitarian aid managed by the Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza (GHF, for its acronym in English), a private entity that has the support of the USA and Israel and operates outside the United Nations.
