The Defense Minister, named Cinara Fredo as his new number 2 in the agency. She replaces Luiz Henrique Pochyly, who has been in office as secretary-general since 2023. She is the 2nd woman to hold the position.
Fredo was already Pochyly’s deputy at the General Secretariat of Defense, in 2013 during the management of Celso Amorim in the Government (PT). She was Director of Benefits of (National Institute of Social Security) from April 2014 to July 2016, when she took over the Assistant Executive Secretariat of.

Bachelor of Law and Master in Public Administration from FGV (Getulio Vargas Foundation), Fredo had stints at the Ministry of Finance of the Government (MDB) and the Ministries of Economics and Citizenship of (PL).
