The doctor and Canarana, a city 838 km from Cuiabá (MT), Thiago Bitencourt Ianhes Barbosa, was arrested in the act last Saturday (31/5), accused of vulnerable, storage of images of abuse and child sexual exploitation. The delegate of the case, Flávio Leonardo, said that the politician took advantage of his position as a doctor to approach the victims in a vulnerable situation.
The arrest occurred during a search and seizure warrant in the house and in the offices he worked on. In the places, the Civil Police found images of child sexual abuse, and part of the material would have been produced and shared by Thiago, as well as children’s clothing and sexual items.

According to the delegate, the parliamentarian would be relating to a teenager and submitting her to sexual slavery: “Investigations point out that the suspect was relating to a teenager and undergoing sexual slavery practices. There is strong evidence that the suspect used this teenager as an instrument to sexually abuse a two -year -old child,” he said.
Also over the weekend, the councilman underwent a custody hearing and had his arrest in the act of converted to preventive by the court. After the decision, another 15 -year -old victim was identified. The girl told the police that the doctor began to force a relationship when she was 12 years old.
The party of the councilman, PL, determined the removal of the politician. In a statement, the Regional Council of Medicine of Mato Grosso (CRM-MT) said it has established an inquiry to investigate its conduct. Upon completion of the calculation, it will be decided whether or not there will be an ethical process against the professional.
Already the City Council reported that the parliamentarian is removed from legislative work and is awaiting the result of the investigation to make any decision. The city hall regretted what happened and said it will collaborate with the investigation.
