The Bitcoin case reveals the weaknesses of the Czech Ministry of Justice and raises questions about confidence in the state.
According to President of the Czech Republic Petr Paul, the case with the Bitcoins, which was adopted by the Czech Ministry of Justice from a man convicted of drug trafficking, is extremely harmful, as it can contribute to distrust of people in state institutions and justice. Minister of Justice Pavel Blažek announced shortly before that he will not run in the autumn elections, informs TASR rapporteur in Prague.
“This case has truly extremely harmful potential. If I should call it the voice of the people, I would say it is a big small one. Not only can it make the institutions of the state in the eyes of citizens, but also cause confidence in justice in general. It has the potential to harm us abroad. transparently and thoroughly investigated, ”the President said.
The President emphasizes confidence
It considers the conclusions necessary, whether ethical, political and possibly criminal.
The Minister of Justice, who resigned from the case last week, reported shortly before the start of Paul’s speech in the House of Social Network X that he would not run in the upcoming elections to the Chamber of Deputies. “Already on Saturday, I decided not to run in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies. I wanted to announce it to colleagues in South Moravia first, but it is better to say it now,” Blažek said. Prime Minister Petr Fiala said on Tuesday morning that the fate of Blažka will decide only after the meeting of the South Moravian ODS cell, which elected him for the coalition candidate.
