Federal Deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) has announced that she will request unpaid parliamentary license for an indefinite time to live in Europe. If the request exceeds 120 days, it will be replaced in the House of Representatives by former parliamentarian Colonel Tadeu (PL-SP).
Tadeu, colonel of the Military Police of São Paulo, was a deputy between 2018 and 2022 and ended up not getting the necessary votes to renew the mandate. He is a PL alternate in the state.
During his mandate in the House, Thaddeus acted as defender of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and went to the House Plenary Tribune to speak against the PT and President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, winners of the Planalto Palace dispute that year.
In 2019, Tadeu tore a poster on an exhibition on racism in the House on the eve of Black Awareness Day. He tore off the wall, tore and stepped on an image of cartoonist Carlos Latuff, in which a policeman appeared, with a steaming weapon in his hand, and a black boy extended to the floor, handcuffed and with the shirt of Brazil. In the poster, the phrase “the genocide of the black population” was read.
In an interview with Estadão That year, he said “do not regret” the feat. “Who was attacked was the Military Police,” he said.
This Tuesday, Zambelli said he has been out of Brazil for a few days and will live in Europe, where he has citizenship. The idea, according to her, is to act by strengthening the right in the countries of the region and “resist, being the Carla I was before the strings that this dictatorship imposed on us.”

In a note sent to the press, the deputy did not report the official date of the beginning of her license, but is preparing the documentation to the Board of Directors of the House.
