With 2026 in view, Lula’s group in PT wants to approach entrepreneurs

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s current in the PT, entitled Building a New Brazil (CNB), presented as one of his proposals for the party’s internal election the entrepreneurs’ approach.

“However, a more articulated and permanent dialogue of the PT with the sector is missing, giving it greater relevance in our speech and in our own party organization,” says the document, released this week by the acronym.

In addition to having Lula in his ranks, the current is majority in the national direction of the subtitle.

For the internal election, the group has as its candidate the former mayor of Araraquara (SP) Edinho Silva. The claim takes place on July 6.

In CNB’s evaluation, it was the petist governments that “conceived and implemented the main policies to support entrepreneurship in the country”.

Among the policies mentioned is the general law of micro and small company (2006), the creation of the category of individual microentrepreneurs, the MEIs (2008) and debt renegotiation programs and credit lines in the current Lula government.

“It is time, for example, of creating in the party the national and state sectorial and small company sectorals,” argues the current.

The document concludes dealing with the 2026 presidential election, betting on President Lula’s “charisma” for any reelection.

High interest and PPPs

One of the group’s bets is the repetition of public-private partnerships, the PPPs. The reason would be the “tax limitations” aggravated by the “unjustifiable Selic rate”, which today reaches the mark of 14.75% per year.

PPPs would then emerge as an alternative to modernize PT management as well as acting as a mechanism for boosting investments.

The document defends partnerships with a “solid and transparent regulation” to avoid tariff abuse and high grant values.

“Challenge” of the Lula administration and project for Amazonia

CNB also brought out what it called “one of the biggest challenges of the Lula administration”: the lack of perception of people from the “achievements” of the government, especially in relation to the popular classes.

The slice of the PT that proposes Edinho Silva’s candidacy argues that there is an improvement in the country that is not being perceived by voters, such as education, income distribution and job opportunities.

Project for the Amazon

Another group plan is a development project for the Amazon. “The sustainable development of the Amazon lacks a differentiated model of financing,” says the party’s statement, which adds the fact that the region suffers from “predatory exploitation and devastation.”

The biome was also cited by addressing the “exorbitant increase” of energy costs and the deepening of regional inequalities. The Workers Party wing argues that the value of energy in the Amazon can no longer be expensive than in other regions of the country.

“In the north, as well as in the Midwest and the Northeast, it is crucial to preserve the biomes to avoid deforestation and the fires that affect the climate,” he adds.
