The City Hall of Cruzeiro do Sul, through the Municipal Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism, held on Wednesday, 4, the certification ceremony of 4 courses taught for about 30 barqueiros operating in the Croa River and other nearby regions, such as Rio Mirim and Valparaiso. The training took place in April, in the community of Croa, and involved partner institutions, such as Municipal Secretariat of Climate, Environment and Sustainability, Fire Department, Samu and Navy.
The courses offered encompassed several essential areas for the safety of the barqueiros and tourists who attend the site. The Fire Department was responsible for training in water rescue, fire prevention and first aid related to such incidents. The Mobile Emergency Care Service- Samu taught the Basic Life Support course, with fundamental techniques to stabilize victims in critical situations, such as cardiorespiratory stops and airway obstructions.
The Brazilian Navy Partners, offering the Waterway Training Course -Auxiliary Deck Auxiliary Sailor, Level 2 -Cfaq -MAF/MMA N2, in addition to delivery of the registration and registration portfolio -Cir, a document that officially enables professionals to conduct safe and regulated vessels.
Already the Municipal Secretariat of Climate, Environment and Sustainability promoted a training focused on the management of water resources, reinforcing the commitment to the environmental preservation of the region.
Croa resident for almost 20 years, Maria Glaides pointed out that certification was critical to providing safety and better working conditions.
“It is fundamental not only for us barqueiros, but also for tourists who visit us. Now we are able to drive adults and children safely, and this is a huge gain for our community. We only have to thank all the secretariats and institutions that gave support,” he said.
Nathaniel de Souza, resident of Rio Mirim and Barqueiro of School Transportation, also celebrated the training.
“This course has brought professionalism to our work. We transport children and we know that the river is dangerous. Now we are better prepared, with technical knowledge and security. I thank the City Hall and everyone who contributed,” he said.
The SAMU coordinator, doctor Luís Augusto, stressed the relevance of training for emergency care. According to him, the basic life support course is essential to ensure that, in critical cases, victims can be stabilized until advanced support arrived. “It is a commendable initiative of the Cruzeiro do Sul City Hall, which strengthens local security and tourism,” he said.
Captain Daniela, deputy commander of the 4th Battalion of the Fire Department, explained the activities given by the institution.
“We enable the boatmen in water rescue techniques, fire prevention and first aid related to drowning. These skills are crucial in water environments and help save lives.”
Captain Bernardo, Brazilian Navy Agent in Cruzeiro do Sul, emphasized that training is essential for safety and socioeconomic development of the region.
“The formation of waterway contributes to the safety of navigation and preservation of the environment. The delivery of the registration and registration portfolio allows these professionals to act legally, opening doors to the job market,” he explained.

The president of Deracre, Sula Ximenes, received on Wednesday, 4, a tribute from the Legislative Assembly of Acre (Aleac) for the 50 years of Expoacre, in recognition of the work of the municipality’s team in the infrastructure of the Wildy Viana Exhibition Park.
The tribute, proposed by Deputy Afonso Fernandes (SD), highlighted the performance of Deracre in the conservation and improvements of the park, where there is the largest agricultural fair in the state.
“This tribute recognizes a work that Deracre has been doing for over 50 years, always present at Expoacre. It is the result of the dedication of our team and the support of Governor Gladson Cameli, who invests in infrastructure and the preservation of the park,” said Sula, who received the honor on behalf of the servers.
Over the past few decades, Deracre has performed services such as internal roads paving, access recovery, showcase paving, drainage, hole slap, as well as the conservation of the nurseries, the rodeo arena and the motocross track.
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Rio Branco, Deracre surrounded the park’s parking lot, increasing safety and supporting the club’s social actions.
Aleac’s recognition reinforces Deracre’s commitment to the maintenance of Wildy Viana Park and the development of Acre’s agricultural and cultural activities.
