The 37-year-old British singer used social networks on Tuesday night to share her early-stage breast cancer diagnosis. She will need to move away from the stages temporarily to perform surgery. In the video, the artist said she had been undergoing a series of exams in recent weeks, and held the news as much as she could. The decision to speak publicly, she said, was not easy.
The singer pondered for days if the diagnosis should be divided, precisely because she knew that the repercussion could go beyond what she would like. “I just wanted to be honest and share. First, because I’m not talking about it enough. I’m not suing it, because I’m working hard. I know how much to share, in the past, it helped me. With other people giving me love, support and sharing their own stories. I am an open book,” he said.
Jessie pointed out that she is grateful to have discovered the disease at an early stage and, even dealing with fear and insecurity, tries to cling to this positive detail. “I’m underlining the term ‘early stage’. Cancer is a drug, anyway, but I’m holding on to this term.”
The artist also joked by saying that undergoing surgery in the coming weeks will be a “dramatic way to put silicone”. Jessie said that, fortunately, she will not have to remove the nipples and that she faces this step as a temporary challenge.

Before the departure, she continues to fulfill the schedule until the day of the presentation at Summertime Ball, on June 15, in.
