American manufacturer wore 10 teams that have won the European competition in the last 36 years; Adidas leads with 15
Paris Saint-Germain won last Saturday (31.MAI.2025) their 1st title of (2024/2025), wearing Nike uniforms. More than an unprecedented achievement, the feat also draws attention to the evolution of sports equipment brands that wore the European champions over the last 36 years.
Since the 1989/1990 season, 10 different manufacturers have been present in Champions’ winning campaigns. Adidas leads with a break, having dressed the champions on 15 occasions, highlighting the realm of Real Madrid in the 21st century.
In 2nd place is Nike, with 10 titles, driven by the achievements of Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea and, more recently, PSG itself. Then appear kappa, puma and umbro, with 2 titles each. Kappa was present in historic Juventus campaigns (1995/1996) and Milan (1989/1990), while Puma returned to the top with Manchester City in 2022/23 after the Red Star title in 1990/1991.
Brands with punctual appearances also entered history: Spanish Kelme (Real Madrid, 1997/1998), Lotto (Milan, 1993/1994), Reebok (Liverpool, 2004/2005), New Balance (Liverpool, 2018/2019) and Meyba, who wore Barcelona in the 1991/1992 title.
