Szymon Holownia, chairman of Szymon Holownia, demands an accelerated reconstruction of the Polish government and an update to the coalition agreement. It submits a draft fundamental laws to support reforms.
Polish Szymon Holownia chairman, Polish Sejma, by Poland 2050, called on Wednesday for an immediate renovation of the government and an update to the coalition agreement. According to him, the reconstruction should not be postponed for July, as the coalition needs a clear plan for reforms to be implemented as soon as possible. This is reported by Warsaw TASR rapporteur, according to PAP.
Holownia announced that he would submit a proposal for an immediate reconstruction of the cabinet at a meeting of the government coalition on Thursday. He stressed the need for fundamental laws: on the de -politicization of public service television, on personal assistance for persons with disabilities, on the ban on smartphones at primary schools and the release of funding for the construction of cheap housing while releasing mortgage subsidies.
Plan of government reforms
Holownia criticized the size of the current government and proposed a narrowing. He pointed out unnecessary posts such as flood minister, and an excessive number of state secretaries. At the same time, he stated that the new coalition agreement should be concluded before the government’s proposal was approved to keep the reforms financially.
The current agreement was signed in November 2023, with discussions on its possible renegulation among the coalition partners. It is happening there in response to the loss of the candidate of the ruling civic coalition Rafal Trzaskowski in the presidential election with a candidate supported by the opposition party Law and Justice (PIS) Karol Nawrocki.
