“If the offender exceeds the permitted perimeter determined by the court and try to approach the victim, a visual and sound warning is issued in the management room,” says Captain Adriano Oleari Bianchini, head of the Copom Operational Section. “Immediately, the vehicle that is closest to the offender is triggered and another is dispatched to the victim’s house,” he adds.
According to him, the main advantage of the program is to enable the PM to learn about the suspect’s intention before he approaches the victim, being able to anticipate a possible crime. In such cases, Copom contacts the victim to inform about necessary care.
