A video that circulates on social networks rekindled the debate about the growing social crisis in Cruzeiro do Sul. The images, recorded by a netizen, show a small child living between drug addicts in a makeshift space in the city center, near the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS).

The scene, which caused indignation, highlights the extreme vulnerability of the child, exposed to drug life, without access to minimum safety, hygiene and food conditions. “It’s sad, man, you see a child in this situation,” lamented the author of the video, commenting on the act.
The presence of drug addicts in this central area has been frequent and draws the population’s attention to the severity of the issue. The site, in front of CAPS, became a point of concentration, reflecting the increase in the number of homeless people in the municipality.
