The Federal Police summoned former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to give testimony later this Wednesday (5) about the escape of federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) to Italy.
The parliamentarian had the Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and was sought by Interpol after being convicted of invasion to the system of the National Council of Justice (CNJ).
Eduardo’s performance
The hearing of the former president was already previously scheduled, in the context of the investigation into the performance of his son, the licensed federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), in the United States. Eduardo is accused by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) of, with the objective of coercing and interfering with the investigations involving the father.

According to Attorney General Paulo Gonet, there is “evidence” that Eduardo tries to influence the progress of criminal actions ongoing against Jair Bolsonaro and his allies. The accusations include obstruction of justice, coercion in the course of the process and attack on national sovereignty.
Interpol Red List
Meanwhile, Carla Zambelli was officially included in Interpol’s red list, following a request from the Federal Police accepted by Moraes. The measure allows international authorities to locate and attach the parliamentarian, which is now considered a fugitive from Brazilian justice.
Zambelli was sentenced to 10 years in prison and the loss of his mandate, accused of involvement in cyber attacks on the CNJ. The deputy would have left Brazil at the end of May by the border with Argentina. In an interview, she confirmed that she is outside the country “a few days ago” and initially claimed to be in the US.
