“Brazilian agribusiness is stable, sustainable and productive, but communicates badly.” This is the opinion of Chairman da, which was present to what happens on June 5 and 6, at the Allianz Parque Stadium, in São Paulo.

Leader of the largest egg producer in the country and the second largest in the world, Faria participated in the Agro Titans panel: visions and future perspectives, whose moderator was former Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Roberto Rodrigues. During the conversation, the Global Eggs Chairman, which produces 13 billion eggs a year, was exhaustive in saying that the country has all the conditions to establish itself as the great sustainable supplier of agricultural products to the world, but needs to find ways to show all the work that is done today in the field to reach this result.

Scheffer’s financial and commercial director, Guilherme Scheffer, agrees with Faria that Brazil does its “evil” marketing and gives as an example all the work that is already done in cotton production in the country. “More than 50% of Brazilian cotton today has BETR Cotton initiative (BCI) certification, which allows the tracking of the entire production chain, which makes the country a reference to the world in good practices. We need to show it,” he said.

For Marcos Thieme, CEO of Caramuru Alimentos, the soy production chain is a good example to illustrate full use of the grain. “Today, nothing is lost in soy: everything takes advantage. From the meal to feed to the lecithin that goes to the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the biodiesel that is done with the by -products, helping in decarbonization,” says the 7th largest soy processor executive and 9th largest biodiesel producer.

Roberto Rodrigues, former minister of agriculture and livestock and panel mediator also recalled that all this work was based on three pillars: the genetics developed by Embrapa, Brazilian soil and investments in technology. “Embrapa was the propeller with research, but the private initiative gave the impetus that was missing, betting on new technologies,” says the former minister, adding that it will be the great opportunity for the sector to show everything that is done by agribusiness across the country.

All this work should yield profits in the near future, with increased exports of products with higher added value, according to Scheffer. “We have all the tools to be a safe, sustainable and more value -value supplier to the world,” says the director. In Caramuru, adds Marcos Thieme, is this security in sustainable production that allows the supply of selected items, without genetic modification, meeting even the most demanding markets such as those of Europe.
