Acacia flowers are a decoration of many courtyards, parks or forests. It is a plant often found in Poland, which blooms at the turn of May and June. In addition to beautiful white flowers and a pleasant smell, it has many other advantages. The tea from it will help to calm down and fall into a healthy sleep.

Latin acacia flower Robinia pseudoacacia is a seemingly inconspicuous, nice plant, but these white flakes are a wealth of natural ingredients. For centuries she has been valued in folk medicine and willingly used, especially with sleep problems. In acacia flowers we will find, among others Anthocyanins, essential oils and flavonoids that have anti -inflammatory, antibacterial and calming effects. Thanks to this, they can calm down the nervous system, it will make us feel less stress, tension and mental fatigue.

Thanks to this, the infusion of them will be a good solution before bedtime and after a tiring day. In addition, unlike some sleeping pills, even herbal, they do not cause They are the effect of dementiaand at the same time help to relax and fall asleep. Flowers of this type were willingly used by our ancestors and can successfully replace lemon balm. The infusion of acacia flowers is sweet and does not leave a bitter aftertaste.

We prepare tea from acacia, like other herbs. First of all, we have to get flowers, if we don’t have such a tree on the garden or nearby, it’s worth going for a walk. It’s best to collect them on a sunny day – when they are well developed. Then they should be dried, just put them on cardboard and placed in a dry and airy place for a few days. After removing, he can collect them into a jar and close it tightly. We prepare a cup of tea from:

  • a heaped spoon of dried acacia flowers
  • hot water
  • teaspoon of honey

After boiling water, wait a few minutes to cool down a bit – the herbs are best poured with water at a temperature of about 90 degrees C. Pour flowers into the cup and pour hot water, brew for a quarter of an hour. After this time, it is worth straining the brew and add a teaspoon of honey so that the tea is sweeter.

If we have a lot of flowers, it is also worth adding them to the bath – essential oils will soothe and do not dry the skin. An interesting idea is also to decorate them sweet dishes – cookies, cakes, cupcakes or pancakes will look interesting with such an addition.
