They are great for everyday breakfast or dinner, but also as an addition to lunch. The rolls are fluffy, soft and melt in the mouth. They taste great with butter, also herbal or garlic.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 450 g of universal bread or wheat flour,
  • 200 ml of hot water,
  • 75 ml of olive oil,
  • 50 g cukru,
  • 1 egg,
  • 2 tablespoons of active yeast,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.

Additionally:

  • Butter to spread.

In a mixer bowl, mix warm water, yeast and sugar. Set aside the mixture for 5 minutes until it starts bubbling and growing. Add half the flour, salt and egg. Mix the whole with a mixer equipped with a yeast dough hook. Gradually add the rest of the flour, stirring constantly, until a smooth ball of soft dough is formed.

Form 12 equal balls from the dough and place them next to each other in a baking dish with dimensions of about 35×25 cm. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Heat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius. Put the buns in the furnace for 10 minutes or to a nice browning of the top. Take the easiest rolls out of the oven and smear them with soft or melted butter. Leave to cool slightly.

Serve with the addition of good quality sausages or other lubricants. Store in a tight container or bread and use within 3-4 days. Alternatively, you can freeze the dough before baking.
