Francisco Borges is 12 years old and reads ten books a day: “I have no mobile phone, I left my foot and my mother always encouraged me”

Podcast

June began with the commemoration of Children’s Day and, in such a podcast, the date was marked in the company of student Francisco Borges, who, after class, still had the energy to talk about rights and duties. Listen here another conversation with Paula Cardoso and Georgina Angelica

“A right would be at school, teachers also let us have ideas,” suggests this week’s guest Francisco Borges, explaining that the subjects eventually become boring, when students do not have the opportunity to participate.

But beware: “Some stories have no cure,” says Francisco, quickly in identifying the best of being a child. On the one hand, “make years,” he says; On the other hand, “the deviation to responsibilities”.

On his way to 13, he celebrates in September, the guest of this episode likes to celebrate his birthday, but makes a point of saying he is in no hurry to reach adulthood. “I think I still have a good time to think about what I want to be when it’s grown.”

For now, he specializes as a “book devourer”, a signature he created on social networks, with the help of his mother, from one of his great passions: reading.

Used, from a baby, to hear stories, has become such a voracious reader that he has already lost account to the number of books he read this year.

But it has, at the tip of the tongue, the last record. “I usually read 10 books a week, but as I left my foot, I started reading almost 10 a day,” he says.

Still recovering from this fracture, which happened while playing the ball in the school’s playground, Francisco tells, in this episode, how it has been boring to be quiet, even with so many stories to “devour”.

You can see why, when we get to know your extracurricular activities: besides playing soccer, trains kickboxing, swimming, arranging time for some chess matches, and also participates in conferences. Always with the mother on the side, and without a mobile phone.

“I always end up having fun,” he says, eager to return to the sports routine.

Until then, it continues to share other day-to-day adventures on social networks, which, in a timely manner, include courts, or not the mother lawyer. “On my Facebook and Instagram page, I share my activities, and also my taste for reading.”

In this conversation with Georgina Angelica and Paula Cardoso, Francisco still leaves a message for children – “read more books” – and a revenue for better societies: “The world needs more patience.”
