Imperial Tree or Pavlovnie felted
Do you want to have something extra in the garden? You might be interested in this. Pavlovnie felted is an extremely interesting tree, also called the Chinese imperial tree. Pavlovnie is simply impressive in all respects. It will dazzle you with its own history, use and appearance. Perhaps its only drawback is that it grows too fast and it is a tree really large that does not fit into small front gardens.
She gained her name after the Dutch Queen Anna Pavlovně. However, the German botanist Filip Franz von Siebold did not see a tree in the Netherlands or Germany. Its origin is Asian. Therefore, you can often see it in China, Japan or Korea.
The name “felt” earned her soft and light seeds, which was previously used as a filling material, especially in the export of porcelain. Today we use polystyrene pieces, previously served completely natural and exceptionally practical seeds of Pavlovnia.

Versatile and favorite pavlovnia
In addition, Pavlovnie has very light and solid wood, which has excellent resonant properties, and therefore fantastically suits the production of musical instruments. Wood is also popular among woodcarvers and since the tree is growing rapidly, from today’s perspective, this material is also easy to use for biomass production.
No wonder the Asians loved this tree downright. It was said that when his father planted a tree on the same day as his daughter was born, the tree, along with her, would grow so quickly that when the girl was mature for the widows, all possible objects would be made from his wood. It was probably not just an adage, but a real guide that the Chinese followed.
How to grow Pavlovnia?
As for the impressive appearance of this tree, as already mentioned, it is quite large, deciduous and very fast growing. It cannot be noticed during the season. Impressive leaves of pavlovnia are up to 40 cm long and are very similar to the shape. But they are not the leaves that appear first in the spring. During May, the tree is literally filled with upright rich grapes of violet flowers that look breathtaking on bare branches.
If the tree has a good habitat and at least minimal care, bloom in 3 to 5 years. There is not much need to benefit the tree. All he needs is a sunny habitat and a deep, well -permeable soil that is slightly alkaline.
Young seedlings can be sensitive to frosts, so they prefer to plant them at the beginning of the summer, so that the tree species should take time well and to withstand cold autumn and winter.
In the first year it is necessary to take care of the dressing. In the following years the tree is almost maintenance -free. And just shape the crown in the autumn. You can also focus on the protection of the trunk.
