The PP and Vox have closed an agreement on Thursday to approve the budgets of the Murcia region that includes the main red lines that those of Santiago Abascal had been marking in recent months. Public accounts, as the regional president, Fernando López Miras, will contemplate the conviction to the policies of the European Green Pact, will oppose the distribution of unaccompanied migrant minors, will advance in the reduction of subsidies to the unions and the employer, will promulgate the decrease in taxes and contemplate specific items to favor families.

López Miras had summoned this morning a round of contacts with all the parties with representation in the Regional Assembly to present the expense roof and has taken the opportunity to verify the agreement reached with Vox, a party with which he thanked his “good disposition” and willingness to collaborate ”.“ This is not new. The government of the Region of Murcia with Vox worked. We have advanced at the points we have in common and, the result of that will of consensus, we have unlocked the budgets and there is an agreement, ”he said.

Thus, there is already a lack of the final relationship of the document of agreement, which will be known “in the next few days,” according to Vox regional president, José Ángel Antelo, public accounts will embrace the demands of the Ultra Party, the first one, in relation to unaccompanied minors. Miras and Antelo have agreed to criticize the absence of a real immigration policy by the central government and have lamented that Carles Puigdemont is marking. This, he said, has led to territories such as the Region of Murcia to become a “focus of acting of the mafias”, and has regretted that since 2020 more than 15,000 people have reached their coasts irregularly. In addition, he has warned that the distribution of unaccompanied migrants is not “equal” throughout Spain, so Murcia “cannot accept and will not accept more distribution of unaccompanied minors.”

One of the immediate consequences of that point of the agreement, as the regional Vox leader has reported, will be the closure of the minors reception center in the Murcian district of Santa Cruz, a battle horse of those of Abascal since its arrival in regional policy. Antelo has set the end of summer as a top date for the closure of that center, which had already been accepted by the PP, which announced that.

Another of the lines that will include the budget pact is that of the condemnation of the policies of the European Green Pact, another of the Vox postulates to which the PP had already yielded. According to López Miras, these policies are harming the regional primary sector, which has the greatest weight in the Murcia economy, and has claimed that the European Union simplify the regulations to be applied, establish mirror clauses for imports from third countries.

Linked to this point of the agreement, the VOX leader has stressed that for the first time there will be its own funds from the Autonomous Community to articulate a maneuvering fund for the agricultural sector. López Miras has defined this fund as a “mechanism of help to compensate for the harmful effects” of the policies of the Green Pact.

Another of the already traditional Vox battle horses in the Autonomous Community is the elimination of subsidies to employers and unions, which will materialize with a modification of the Regional Institutional Participation Law. This norm, Antelo said, is an “anomaly” that forces the Murcia public administration to subsidize social agents, something that will be eliminated.

In addition, López Miras has pointed out that the agreement includes new tax drops, which has not detailed, and aid to families.

The Vox leader has stressed that all these commitments will be linked to concrete compliance dates, and that the agreements must be followed “until the last coma.” In a threatening tone, he has also launched a message to the regional government counselors, whom they have warned that they must resign if they do not comply with any of the points. If they do not, he said, Fernando López Miras “will have a problem with Vox.”

The approval of the budgets now remains a long process that will last foreseeably until the end of July, and that will start next Thursday with the approval of the expense roof at the weekly meeting of the Governing Council.

Before in Murcia, the popular have reached budget agreements with Vox also in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands. Assuming the postulates of the training of Santiago Abascal in immigration and environment. His Balearic counterpart, yielding with the inclusion of Spanish as a vehicular language and repeal the Democratic Memory Law.
