The rejection of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) reached 57%, according to Genial/Quaest survey released on Thursday (5). The number represents an increase compared to the 55% registered in April and places Lula at the top of the ranking of the most rejected names by the population. Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) appears close behind, with 55%-same rate as the previous round.

The research shows that both have similar rejections, which highlights the degree of polarization still present in the national political scenario. In the survey, the rejection was measured based on the answer “know and would not vote at all” among the interviewees.

The rate of voters who claim to know and vote for Lula fell to 40%, compared to 41% in April. Bolsonaro maintained the 39% rate among those who claim to know him and would vote for him.

Among the possible right -wing candidates, Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) appears with rejection of 51%, also increased compared to the previous 48%. Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) has 56% rejection. Other names tested have lower rates, especially Romeu Zema (Novo), which has 22%, and Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil), with 25%.

The survey also shows that the names with the lowest rejection are also the least known among voters. Zema is unknown by 60% of respondents, while Caiado is unknown for 62%.
