President says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “far-right” and is waring against his own people
The President (PT) classified this Thursday (5.jun.2025) the war in Gaza as a “Premeditated Genocide” And he said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Likud, right) is waring against the interests of his own people.
“It is not possible to accept a war that does not exist, but a premeditated genocide of a far-right ruler who is making a war, even against the interests of his own people,” He declared, alongside the president of France, Emmanuel Macron (Renaissance, Center).
The Chief Executive cited the need for renovation of the UN Security Council (United Nations). He said the organization cannot have the same conjuncture as 1945 and requested the inclusion of African and South American countries.
“The same UN who had the authority to create the State of Israel must have the authority to preserve the demarcated area in 1967. It is the least common sense that we can demand as humanists we are,” declared Lula.
Watch:
The speech takes place during a ceasefire in the Gaza range presented by the US special envoy Steve Witkoff. The plan would include the release of 10 Israeli hostages and a 70 -day truce for humanitarian activities to be resumed.
The Israeli government, however, denied the existence of the proposal by the US and rejected the terms attributed to the plan. According to an Israeli representative, no authority in the country would accept the terms described.
“We cannot allow the speech of the president of Israel, who says every day that he wants to occupy the Gaza Strip to make a hotel, a leisure area, when, in fact, it is a territory that the people have gained after much sacrifice. It is important that the world powers give it a stop,” said Lula.
In this line, French President Emmanuel Macron said the next few days will be decisive and will intensify, with the United States, the request for ceasefire in the region.
According to him, France is preparing for a conference with Saudi Arabia on June 18 to open the way for the recognition of Palestine and a collective security mechanism for the Gaza Strip.
“We will see, in the coming days, if we should speak in a thicker voice and make more concrete decisions”, declared.
