Moraes warns Chamber of arrest order against Zambelli – 04/06/2025 – Power

The minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) reported the president of (-PB) on the decision in which he ordered the arrest and other measures against the federal deputy (PL-SP).

“I send you to you the terms of the decision in the case file, whose copy follows attached, for the science and adoption of appropriate measures, especially for the purpose of complying with item 2.2.” Moraes said in the letter addressed to Motta.

Item 2.2 of the decision provides for the blocking of the deputy’s salaries and any other funds, even intended for the parliamentarian’s office.

Another action to be adopted by the House is to deliberate on the maintenance or not of the arrest order. The house has up to 45 days for this.

Moraes ordered the deputy’s pre -trial detention, in addition to blocking his assets and the inclusion of the parliamentarian’s name in Interpol’s red diffusion list.

The decision occurs to comply with a request from the (Attorney General’s Office). Moraes states that Zambelli’s trip out of the country represents “the escape of the district of guilt.”

Initially, when he announced that he would be abroad and would not return less than a month after being unanimously convicted of ten years in prison by the first class of the court, Zambelli said he was in Europe without specifying the country.

He then confirmed to CNN that he was in the United States, but said he would leave for Italy, where he has citizenship.
