There is nothing better to eat during hot days than. It is usually Lithuanian and cucumber, but hardly anyone has heard of such watermelon. Every summer my grandmother served him. He was delicious and refreshed immediately. In addition, his pink color caught eye. Each sip of this watermelon soup brought the desired cooling in hot weather. Check a simple recipe.

You need to choose the right watermelon for the watermelon cooler. First, pay attention to its shape. The larger and longitudinal ones contain more water and have less taste than the round ones.

In turn, dark fruits are more sweet and juicy. The clear ones, however, will not be suitable for fruit soup.

It is also worth looking at the spot at the bottom of this fruit. If the watermelon pulp at the skin has a light shade, most likely it will be less sweet, while the yellow color in this place usually means that the fruit is extremely ripe, juicy and full of sweets.

Ingredients:

  • 700 g of watermelon pulp;
  • 200 g of strawberries;
  • 100 g blueberries;
  • 8 mint leaves;
  • 1 lime juice;
  • 1/2 chopped chili pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger.

Preparation:

To start with, clean the strawberries and blueberries and the first fruit cut in half. Then put them in a bowl together with the other ingredients, i.e. watermelon, mint, lime juice, chili pepper and ginger.

Blend all ingredients to a smooth and homogeneous mass. Put the prepared soup in the fridge for at least an hour to make it cool.

After this time, the watermelon cooler is ready to eat. If he came out too thick, you can always add carbonated water to it.

Watermelon cooler before serving should be sprinkled with crushed feta cheese. It also tastes great with almonds or pistachios. Be sure to eat it with a crunchy toast from a baguette smeared with oil and gently looked after gold – it will perfectly complement the sweetness of fruit and the saltiness of the fete.
