The first lady, despite not having an official position in the government, occupies a prominent place alongside the president. Janja said she wants to “resignify” the first lady role. She complains of not having her own funds and staff – even informally she has 12 advisors at her disposal. Even without a position in the government, he attended ministerial meetings and directly interfered with the management of some folders.

Recently, the first lady was criticized after a speech about the possibility of regulating social networks during a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, in which she attended the president. Faced with criticism, Lula defended the first lady, claiming that he was the one who made the request to the president of China.

“I don’t know why someone thought it was new and went to talk to the press. The question was mine and I didn’t feel bothered. The fact that my wife asks the Word is because she is not a second -class citizen, he understands more from digital network than me,” Lula said.
