Political movements for the 2026 elections in Brazil continue. The Senator (PSD-SP) has announced that it will not seek reelection to the Senate. She intends to run for a position of state deputy at the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly (Alesp). The decision was confirmed by the senator herself to the young Pan, who highlighted her goal of strengthening the PSD in the state and supporting Gilberto Kassab, current secretary of the government of Tarcísio de Freitas, to leave as governor or deputy governor.
Gabrilli, who migrated from the PSDB to the PSD, sees in Alesp an opportunity to expand the PSD’s presence in the state legislature. The party, which has already won several municipalities and important positions, now seeks to increase its representation in the Assembly, where it currently has four parliamentarians. The senator, which reinforces the importance of strengthening the party in São Paulo, especially in the context of the 2026 elections.
