These are three months of celebration that mark the three years of activity of Southwest Retail Park, the largest retail infrastructure in the Algarve region. Located in Alcantarilha, in the municipality of Silves, and managed by Retail Mind, the space will streamline, between June 10 and August 31, a vast set of initiatives that include live music, dance sessions, themed workshops and more.
“Strengthening the community’s emotional connection to Southwest Retail Park and thus helping to streamline the business of retailers” is, according to Andreia Ramos, the rectail manager responsible for space, one of the main objectives of this festive cycle. “It was a reduction to make the celebration in a single day when we talk about a structure that so boosted the local economy,” he adds.
The program starts on June 14 with a Zumba Mega Aula and a Power Hiit session, in collaboration with the Urban Gym Academy, which will offer participants’ invitations and vouchers.
Thinking about the months when the population of the Algarve increases exponentially, every summer weekends, in the late afternoon, Retail Park’s central square will receive service demonstrations from local companies such as gyms, training studios and gyms, among others. “In inviting other local companies, such as animal associations, gyms, dance academies or yoga, manual arts and other businesses, it shows the vitality of the local business ecosystem,” says Andreia Ramos.
Open since 2022, Southwest Retail Park has become a reference in the southern region of the country, for its outdoor configuration, consisting of 19 stores and 532 parking places. Business spaces include brands such as Continent, Leroy Merlin, Popular Radio, Sport Zone, Seaside, Burger King, Hôma, Sudoeste Pharmacy, Tiendanimal, among others.
Andreia Ramos takes a positive balance of these three years and states: “It has been a fantastic path, which very proudly the Retail Mind,” emphasizing that Sudoeste Retail Park “reinvented the way of looking at this type of structures, by the concentration of a set of recognized brands, products and excellence services.”
Located next to the Alcantarilha main roundabout in EN125, with access facilitated by A22, Retail Park has contributed to the creation of about 620 direct and indirect jobs and has privileged local suppliers in the purchase of products and services.
In the environmental level, the space bets on a sustainable operation, with ecological practices and awareness actions with visitors. It currently has six charging posts for electric vehicles, but, as the manager says, “it is intended to double this number soon, with the introduction of ultra-rare loading.”
