Sara Norte was one of many public figures to be part of Radio Renaissance’s ‘Three Por Todos’ initiative, which in recent days has been making people aware of domestic violence and raising funds for the Portuguese Victim Support Association (APAV).
This Thursday, June 5, the actress and commentator was talking to Ana Galvão and reflected on the subject, also recalling the toxic relationship she lived and that made her even have friends.
“These are relationships where we stop believing in our value, we are manipulated, we stop having friends because friends also move away … Sometimes people do not realize that there is no one else. In my case, I was totally alone.”started by revealing.
Sara Norte then remembered the three years she was the victim of “physical, psychological, everything” violence, leaving an appeal to friends closest to victims of domestic violence, so that she does not leave, and shared “the worst thing” she lived during this relationship.
“I was unconscious once at Sodré quay, with everyone passing, and no one went to help me. And everyone saw what happened. I went to make the crime, (…) I followed the complaint forward. Then, when a time came to make statements, I was silent and did not make statements and the case was filed … to this day.”realized.
The actress and commentator, who maintains a nine-year relationship with Vasco Vala, with whom she married in May this year, was happy to have found someone who respects her in a relationship.
“I’m still healing the wounds, which is normal. I’ve been nine years with a man who makes me feel special, that respects me, that lets me be free. So all is a process, these are wounds that are healed little by little but after nine years with a man who really gives me the value I deserve, I’m forwarding to a different, calmer Sara”.realized.
