Why isn’t Enner Valencia playing?
The striker suffered a muscle injury in early May during the match against Atletico Nacional by Libertadores. Since then, the player had been treatment in Inter’s medical department, and even in the ideal conditions, he was summoned to the Ecuadorian team.
In comparison, striker Rafael Borré, also from Inter, had the same physical problem and returned to play after a month in the victory over Bahia last Wednesday. He was not called to the Colombian selection.
With Enner Valencia not even in the bank, Ecuador is cast with: Galíndez; Ordoñez, pacho, hincapié e estupíñán; Vite, Alan Franco, Moisés caicedo e yboah; Minda e angulo.
