President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva shared on his social networks, this Thursday (6), a remarkable video of the first day of his state visit to France. The Eiffel Tower, the maximum symbol of Paris, was illuminated with the colors of the Brazilian flag – green, yellow, blue and white – in honor of Brazil and the presence of the head of state in the European country.

The ceremony was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, who received Lula and Janja to watch the special show. In a symbolic and warm moment, Macron personally presented the tribute to the Brazilian presidential couple, highlighting the historical bonds between the two nations.
During the video, Lula thanked the reception and spoke in Portuguese about the importance of the partnership between Brazil and France for mutual development and the construction of a more solidarity world. Macron, in turn, expressed in French the affection of the French people throughout Brazil, emphasizing cultural and political ties between countries.
Lula’s visit to France marks strengthening the bilateral relationship and includes official meetings, economic commitments and debates on global topics such as environment and sustainable development. The projection of the Brazilian flag in the Eiffel Tower was the symbolic high point of the first day of the official agenda.
