The STF testimony will occur within the scope of the criminal action that investigates a coup plan to keep Bolsonaro in power after the defeat at the polls for President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT)
The hearing phase of the defendants begins on Monday (9). The first to speak will be the whistleblower: Mauro Cid. Then the defendants will follow sequence in alphabetical order. The former president will be the sixth deponent.
STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes, who is rapporteur of the case, scheduled time for interrogations also on Tuesday (10), Wednesday (11), Thursday (12) and Friday (13).
Defendants may be silent if the answer to a question may self -incriminate you. The right to silence is guaranteed by the Federal Constitution.
The complaint of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) points out that the crucial core members are considered the main ones in the articulation of the coup attempt plan.
They respond for attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, attempted coup, participation in armed criminal organization, qualified damage and deterioration of listed heritage.
