Constitutional Court rejects funds in the case of the bank cartel

According to the public newspaper, the counselor judge understands that even if it proved that these issues were unconstitutional, this would not change the decision to annul the fine.

The Constitutional Court rejected the appeals presented by the Competition Authority and the Public Prosecution Service in the case of the “Board Cartel”. Wanted to stop the decision of the Court of Appeal, which applied to 11 banks.

The questions raised in the appeal were criticized by the Constitutional Court.

According to the the Judge Counselor understands that even if it proved that these issues were unconstitutional, this would not change the decision to annul the fine.

The authority of competition now considers to submit a complaint, which means that this Decision is not definitive.

It is recalled that these banks are suspected of having violated the Competition Law through the exchange of credit information.
