Simulator helps calculate the consumption of each appliance and offers tips for reducing electricity bill expenses
The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) announced that the tariff flag for June 2025 will be Red – level 1. This change, which represents an increase of R $ 0.04463 for each Kilowatt-Hora (KWh) consumed, reinforces the importance of the efficient management of electricity consumption by customers. To help them in this challenge, it provides a Free consumption simulator.
With the tool, that can be accessed byit is possible to estimate energy consumption spending and have no surprises with the electricity bill. The simulator calculates the average consumption by appliance and electronics of each room of the house. To do this, the customer is enough to indicate how many hours a day each equipment is used and selecting the current tariff flag. With this data, the tool will give an estimate of the power bill.
Check out the room saving tips with room:
In the bathroom
- Shower: Opt for faster baths and use warm or summer temperature, this can help save about 30% on the electricity bill. If possible, set the bath for the hottest hours of the day. A 15 -minute bath consumes power equivalent to over 400 LED lamps lit for one hour, which may represent a significant increase in the electricity bill. In addition, excessive energy consumption contributes to the emission of greenhouse gas.
In the bedroom
- Air conditioning: Avoid using it for long periods and opt for more efficient and economical inverter models.
In doing
- TVs: Avoid leaving the TV on without anyone watching and set the timer for automatic shutdown.
In the office
- Computers: Turn it off completely after 2 hours of inactivity and the monitor after 15 minutes. These simple practices contribute significantly to the reduction of energy consumption.
In the laundry
- Washing machine and dryer: Use your washing machine with the maximum capacity and avoid the function of hot water. As for the dryer, use it only when necessary and always with the maximum capacity.
In the kitchen
- Refrigerator: Keep the sealing rubber in good condition and avoid opening the door frequently. Never use the rear of the refrigerator to dry clothes or shoes as this can damage the equipment and increase power consumption.
To the whole house
- Lighting: Changing incandescent and fluorescent lamps for LED as they consume up to 80% less energy, are more efficient and heat the environment less.
Saving energy is not just a financial issue. By consciously consuming, customers contribute to the preservation of the environment, reducing the emission of greenhouse gases and ensuring a more sustainable future for next generations.
