Make this casserole for dinner over the weekend, everyone will ask for an addition. It will be an Italian style celebration

Delicious, incredibly filling proposition for the main course in Italian style – maybe this one pasta will inspire you to prepare a real weekend feast?

  • 400 g of past pasta, penne or other,
  • 800 g of tomato passage,
  • 200 g chicken breasts,
  • 200 g of Gouda yellow cheese,
  • 80 g cream cheese,
  • 1 onion,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil,
  • 1.5 tablespoons of fresh oregano,
  • ½ teaspoon salt,
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper,
  • ¼ teaspoon of chili.

Additionally:

  • parsley to sprinkle.

Cook al dente, according to the instructions on the packaging. Strain and set aside.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and add finely chopped onion. Fry it, stirring occasionally for about 4 minutes.

Clean the meat, dry and cut into cubes. Add them to the pan together with finely chopped garlic and oregano. Fry to get the chicken for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour the tomato passata and bring the whole to a boil. Add softened cream cheese together with salt and pepper. Fry to completely combine the ingredients for about 2 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and add pasta and a quarter of grated yellow cheese. Mix the whole well.

Transfer the contents of the pan to an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the pasta casserole with the remaining cheese, and cover the form tightly with aluminum foil.

Put the casserole in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 25 minutes. Then remove the foil, turn on the barbecue function and bake the dish for another 3-5 minutes, so that the top browns nicely.

Serve the dish hot, sprinkled with chopped parsley.

Store in the fridge, covered. Eat within 3 days.
