A Japanese youtuber has achieved a feat of envy to large automakers: he sold 1,650 electric cars before he even started producing them in series. To get an idea, Toyota sold over a year, in 2024, in Japan, 1,012 BZ4X units, the company’s main 100% electric model. Leader Nissan sold 23,000 Sakura vehicles in the country in the same period.
The influencer responsible for the unlikely achievement was 43 -year -old Kazunari Kusunoki, founder of startup kg Motors, which manufactures tiny Mibot.
At 1.1 meters wide and 2.5 in length, MIBOT was born in 2022 with the promise of transforming urban mobility by providing a practical alternative for individual displacements. The electric mini-car has a single seat and full capacity of up to 100 kg-that is, the driver cannot be very heavy there.

Reservations to buy MIBOT opened in July 2024 and are made through a form on the KG Motors website. Car production is scheduled to start in October this year.
One of Kusunoki’s assets is to have shared his entire research, development, prototype, testing, and assembly process on his YouTube channel. The channel, which has the same name as the company, today has 213,000 subscribers.

MIBOT offers autonomy of up to 100 km per load, with complete recharge in about 5 hours in a common 100V AC outlet. The speed reaches 60 km/h. To get an idea, the car is so compact that it can be transported inside a van.

And how much does this little one cost? About 1 million yen, the equivalent of R $ 39 thousand. The mini-car is available in blue, white, yellow, gray and ivory. For now, however, nothing has been said about Kg Motors plans to bring MIBOT to Brazil.
