Petrobras reported on Friday (6) that it was cited in action filed by the probes company Sete Brasil and its subsidiaries, which charge reparation for alleged losses related to the “Project Sonda”.

The value of the cause, according to the oil company, was unilaterally assigned by Sete Brasil at R $ 36 billion.

In a statement, Petrobras said the allegations of Sete Brasil are “unfounded” and that does not recognize any responsibility for the alleged losses.

Petrobras added that “it will defend itself firmly in the process” as soon as the deadline for presentation of its contestation has begun, which has not yet occurred.

The lawsuit will not impact the result of its financial statements in the second quarter, Petrobras said.
