At least three people died and another 21 were injured after a Russian attack with drones and missiles to the city of Kharkiv, located east of Ukraine, at dawn on Saturday, 07, local Ukrainian officials reported.
According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the bombing also damaged 18 apartment buildings and 13 homes. Quoting preliminary data, he said Russia used 48 Shahed drones, two missiles and four aerial plane bombs in the attack.
The intensity of Russian attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks has further diminished hope that conflict parties could reach a peace agreement soon – especially after Kiev’s offensive by launching drones to military aerodromes inside Russia.

The attack occurs after US President Donald Trump stated that his Russian counterpart had already signaled that Moscow would respond to Ukraine’s attack on Sunday.
On Friday, 06, Trump stated that he might better leave Ukraine and Russia “fight for a while” before separating them and seeking peace. The comments, a deviation from their frequent appeals to interrupt the war, signaled that the Republican may be giving up the recent peace efforts.
