The daisies on the lawn look like a cute garden accessory, but they can also be a warning signal. It’s not just a common weed. Their presence often means problems with the health of the lawn and the entire surrounding ecosystem. Let’s see why it is good to pay attention to them.
Daisies are very popular among the owners of gardens and lawns for their undemanding and traditional appearance. White petals with yellow center, which add meadow or lawn fresh, spring touch. Although at first glance it looks harmless and many people like them, the reality is a little more complicated. Daisies often grow where the lawn is stressed or suffers from a lack of nutrients and oxygen. Thus, their occurrence may be a warning signal that something is wrong with soil or lawn care. Why are daisies of warning signal?
Daisies are not just a pleasant flower on the lawn. Their massive enlargement often means that the lawn is not in an ideal condition. Methods such as chopping are less effective because the plant regenerates quickly due to the roots. In the case of more extensive occurrence, manual removal or use of herbicides is recommended, but always with respect to the environment. Composting of daisy residues is not suitable because you could expand the seeds further.
