Donald Trump promised nothing less than the “biggest deportation program in American history” at the beginning of his second term in the White House. That came from the man of the greatest possible promise, even in the election campaign, he had rushed against migrants with everything his vocabulary gave to migrants (“They’re eating the cats, they’re eating the dogs”). The topic was one of the big weak points of the Democrats, and Trump skillfully took advantage of this.
