“The terrorist who infiltrated the Kibutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, was one of the leaders of the brutal massacre and was directly involved in the kidnapping and murder of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas,” said the Israeli army
The army set out on Saturday (7) the death of Asad Abu Sharaiiya, leader of the terrorist militia brigades Mujahideen, to whom he was responsible for the kidnapping and death of Shiri Bibas, an Israeli of Argentine and Peruvian descent, and his two young children, Ariel and Kfir.
According to Israeli forces, Abu Sharaiiya was killed this morning in an Israeli attack on the city of Gaza. “What infiltrated the Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, was one of the leaders of the brutal massacre and was directly involved in the kidnapping and murder of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas,” the Israeli army said in a statement.
Israel also attributed to the Mujahideen brigades the kidnapping and death of two other Israelis, whose bodies were recovered this week in Gaza, Gad Haggai and Juda Lynn Weinstein Haggai, as well as Nattapong Pinta, a Thai citizen whose body was recovered on Friday.
According to the Israeli army, the Mujahideen brigades were unaware of Hamas’ plans before October 7 attacks, but took advantage of the situation to act as an “extension” of the Islamic group and commit murders and kidnappings in Israel.
In addition to Abu Sharaiiya, Israeli forces also killed a combatant of the same group, identified as Mahmoud Muhammad Hamid Kuhail, whom they accused of being responsible for keeping Shiri and his children in captivity.
The family members of the bibas thanked the Israeli soldiers for risking their lives and said the news brought them “a minimum of peace, knowing that these despicable killers will not harm any other family,” in a statement shared by the hostage and missing family members. The bodies of the bibas were delivered to Israel during the truce of early this year, while Shiri’s husband and children’s father, Yarden Bibas, was released alive.
