Moraes sends Ministry of Justice to formalize Carla Zambelli’s extradition request

Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) determined on Saturday that the Ministry of Justice must formalize a request for extradition of Federal Deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), who is in Italy and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. In addition, he ordered the House of Representatives immediately to loss of her mandate, which is part of the conviction.

On Friday, the first class of the Supreme Court unanimously rejected. With this, the criminal action was closed and Moraes determined the definitive arrest of Zambelli and hacker Walter Delgatti, also convicted in the same action, but eight years and three months in prison.

On Wednesday, Moraes had already determined the pre-trial detention of Zambelli, after she announced that she left Brazil. Now the arrest warrant is still valid, but the beginning of serving the sentence. Similarly, Delgatti was already pre -tried preventively and will continue to be detained.
