Miguel Uribe is a senator and oppositionist to the government of Gustavo Petro; Suspect was arrested
Colombia’s presidential senator and presidential candidate, Miguel Uribe (Democratic Center, Center), was shot in an attack on Saturday (7.Jun.2025) in Bogota, capital of the country.
Uribe participated in a political act in the afternoon in the Fontibón neighborhood. The mayor of the city, Carlos Galán, said in a publication on the X (former Twitter) that the author was identified and arrested. There is still no information about Uribe’s health.
