Russia said on Sunday (8) that her forces advanced to the border of the Ukiproperovsk Ukrainian Central-Leste region, amid a public dispute between Moscow and Kiev on peace negotiations and the return of thousands of soldiers who died in the war.

Amid conversations about peace, war is intensifying with Russian forces gaining more territory in Ukraine and Kiev launching drone attacks and sabotage against the fleet of nuclear russian bombers.

Russia, which controls a little less than 20% of the Ukrainian territory, has taken over 190 square kilometers from the Ukraine Sumy region in less than a month, according to pro-Ucranian open source maps.

Now, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, units of the 90th Division of Tanks of the Central Group of Russian forces have reached the western border of the Donetsk region of Ukraine and are attacking the adjacent region of DniproProperovsk.

“The enemy does not abandon his intentions of entering the Dniproperovsk region,” said Southern Ukraine Defense Forces on Telegram. “Our soldiers are keeping their front section brave and professionally, interrupting the occupant’s plans.”

Dmitry Medvedev, vice president of the Russian Security Council, said that Dniproperovsk’s offensive showed that if Ukraine does not want to accept the reality of Russia’s territorial gains in peace negotiations, Moscow forces will advance further.

A Ukrainian military spokesman Dmytro Zaporozhets said the Russian forces were trying to “build a bridge head to an attack” to KostyAntynivka, an important logistics center for the Ukrainian army.

On Saturday, Russia accused Ukraine of postponing an exchange of prisoners of war and the return of the bodies of 12,000 dead soldiers, although Ukraine denied the allegations.

Russia said on Sunday that it is moving bodies towards the border and television showed refrigerated trucks containing the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers on the road in the Bryansk region.

Ukraine accused Russia of making propaganda games and said the exchange of prisoners of war and the bodies of the dead soldiers is scheduled for next week. Russia said Ukraine is doing politics with the dead.

Russia requires international recognition of Crimea, an attached Peninsula from Ukraine by Russia in 2014, and four other Ukrainian regions that Moscow claimed as its own territory. Kiev would have to remove his forces from all of them.
