A 93 -year -old man was recovered after he erupted at a Saragoza Nursing Home in. Spanish media speak of an explosion of the oxygen bottle in his room.
Another 19 people in the Domusvi Zalfonada nursing home were injured. Due to the release of a large amount of tobacco, some elderly were poisoned. The tragic incident occurred around 23:10 on Friday night, local time, in a ground floor room.
According to, the victim died of inhalation of tobacco and 19 people were injured and transported by ambulances to various health centers.

The nursing home in northeast Spain has a capacity of 150 people, but at the time of the incident there were 132 elderly. Of these, about 50 were on the ground floor and removed in time.

From the first moment, a coordinated rescue operation was developed by the Police, the Fire Brigade and the Medical Services. The nursing home staff quickly intervened by breaking windows to get out of the elderly.
Social services are now looking for an alternative to 35 tenants whose rooms were on the ground floor and which cannot be returned for the time being, according to the Zaragoza City Council.
The rooms of the second and third floor have not been affected, according to the Spanish media. Dozens of relatives gathered at the Nursing Home, as was the Mayor of Zaragoza.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated by the Spanish authorities, which are conducting extensive investigations into the incident.
