In order for hydrangeas to bloom blue, the basis is acid soil – pH of 4.5 to 5.5. If we put flowers, we don’t have to worry about such soil that blue flowers will change color. There are also special nutrients for blue hydrangeas on the market, but we can also use the proven way of our grandmothers. Just brew coffee and use the coffee grounds to sprinkle with hydrangeas. Hydrangeas, apart from acidic soil, also love damp ground. Therefore, if we want to properly care for these flowers, we must remember about regularly and quite abundant watering. The shrub must not be planted in a sunny position. The sharp sun does not serve the plant. It will grow much better in partial shade. During the drought period, it is also important to mulch the soil that will prevent moisture loss. Appropriate fertilization, which will ensure abundant flowering, is also important.
