“Many” people were injured in a knife attack on Saturday in Munich. The perpetrator was a 30 -year -old woman who was shot by police and died shortly afterwards in the hospital.
According to Bild and Abendblatt, the woman attacked passers -by at Theresienwiese, where the Octoberfest is hosted in the fall. Police patrolling her and the woman was taken to the hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery, but eventually succumbed to her injuries. Her motives remain unclear, while Bild speaks of “mental illness”.
In a statement, the police informed that “there is no more danger to the public”, and it is unknown at the moment how many people are injured and in what condition they are.
