Homemade elderberry juice

Ingredients:

  • a kilo of ripe elderberry fruit,
  • 2 liters of water,
  • 60 ml lemon juice,
  • 400 g of sugar + 100 g sugar for each liter of juice.

Method of performance:

Fruit of elderberry – no leaves, stalks – wash thoroughly. Transfer to the pot and pour water.

Bring to a boil, pour in lemon juice and pour 400 g of sugar. Cover and set aside for the whole night.

The next day, bring to a boil, mix.

Pour the liquid through a sieve with thick mesh into a clean dish (you can wipe the fruit, but their fragments should not be in the juice). Pour sugar (you need to add about 100 grams of sugar into a liter of the obtained liquid). If you have obtained about 2.5 liters of liquid, you should add about 250 g of sugar. Boil the liquid with sugar, mix.

Pour ready-made elderberry juice into clean, scalded jars and pasteurize for about 20-30 minutes (put the crazy jars in a pot with warm water and boil). Cool.

It is worth using elderberry juice as natural support for immunity, heart and eyes. It is characterized by an intense, tart taste, often referred to as slightly sour-sweet.

It’s best to drink 1-2 tablespoons in undiluted form or as an addition to tea, water or cocktail. This amount is enough to support the body. In the autumn and winter seasonand thus increased colds, You can increase the portion to 3-4 tablespoons a day. The juice will warm up when you add it to tea with honey and lemon.
