Japan has strengthened the supervision and sent a diplomatic legacy, the government spokesman said.
The Chinese aircraft carrier was swimming in Japanese waters east of Iwodžima, a spokesman for the Japanese government said on Monday. Tokyo will strengthen the supervision in the area and gather the necessary information, another government representative added. This is reported by TASR based on Reuters report.
According to the Chief Secretary of the Cabinet, Jošimas Hajašija, Japan sent a “adequate legacy”, but did not provide any details in more detail.
Liaoning cruise at Japan
The weekend statement of the Japanese associated staff showed that liaoning, accompanied by several other ships, sailed in the sea in the exclusively economic zone of Japan near the island of Minami Torišima east of the island of Iwodžima. Iwodžima is about 1,200 kilometers from the coast of Japan.
Tokyo also confirmed that on Sunday liaoning took off and landed fighters and helicopters.
